Auric Eclipse – Black & Gold Abstract Art Print

Description

Auric Eclipse

A Study in Motion — Black, Gold and Liquid Form

Sweeping arcs of deep black and warm gold curve through a luminous ivory field, converging around a series of polished circular forms and explosive, fluid-like splashes. Fine branching details break away from the central movement, while smooth ribbons of colour pull the eye across the composition in broad, confident gestures.

Auric Eclipse is built around contrast and motion. The dark forms give the piece weight, the gold-coloured areas bring warmth and light, and the pale negative space keeps the whole composition open rather than heavy. It feels dramatic without becoming chaotic — a bold contemporary abstract designed to hold a room.

Curation & Materiality Each finish handles this artwork’s strong contrast and fluid detail differently:

• Fine Art Paper: Museum-quality 200gsm paper captures the delicate splashes, sharp edges and smooth tonal transitions with excellent precision, keeping the black, ivory and gold-coloured areas crisp and clean.
• Gallery Wrapped Canvas (4cm Profile): A particularly strong match for this piece — the woven surface adds physical depth to the flowing forms, while the darker sections gain extra richness and the warm gold tones remain vivid.
• Birch Wood Print (10mm thickness): The natural warmth of birch complements the amber and gold palette beautifully. The grain can soften the clean ivory areas slightly, giving the finished piece a warmer, more organic character than paper or canvas.

Size & Scale Guide

Note: the Small / Desk poster size is produced at A4 (21×29.7cm) rather than 20x30cm — a very close match in scale, with a slightly different proportion.

Design Insights

• Orientation: Landscape format, allowing the sweeping ribbons and central circular forms to stretch naturally across the composition.
• Suits: Contemporary, modern and luxe interiors, living rooms, offices and feature walls where strong contrast and sculptural abstract forms can take centre stage.
• Craftsmanship: Every piece is individually reviewed by our studio before print, helping preserve the fine splash detail, smooth gradients and crisp contrast that give the artwork its sense of movement.
