Riviera Red – Retro Red Sports Car Art Print

Riviera Red

A Study in Contrast — Heat, Speed, and Stillness

A single streak of red cuts across a world built from white walls and blue sky. Parked in the long shadow of a minimalist coastal villa, this vintage Italian supercar sits perfectly still, yet every line of its silhouette suggests motion. Behind it, a palm tree throws its own shadow across the wall — twice, doubled, theatrical — while the sea stretches flat and endless to the horizon.

Riviera Red is a piece about restraint and indulgence sitting side by side. The architecture is stripped back to pure geometry; the car is anything but. Together they capture a very specific kind of glamour — Mediterranean, sun-bleached, unhurried, and just a little bit dangerous.

Curation & Materiality Each finish has been selected to handle this piece’s high-contrast palette differently:

• Birch Wood Print (10mm thickness): Softens the crisp architectural lines and warms the whites, giving the scene a slightly more relaxed, sun-worn feel — ideal if your space leans warm and textural.
• Gallery Wrapped Canvas (4cm Profile): Deepens the red and sharpens the contrast between the car and the white walls, giving the piece real presence as a feature. The best choice if you want this to be the loudest thing in the room.
• Fine Art Paper: Museum-quality 200gsm paper renders the flat blues and crisp shadow lines with the most precision — closest to how the original composition was intended to read.

Size & Scale Guide

Note: the Small / Desk poster size is produced at A4 (21×29.7cm) rather than 20x30cm — a very close match in scale, with a slightly different proportion.

Design Insights

• Orientation: Wide landscape format — this piece rewards horizontal wall space rather than a tight vertical gap.
• Suits: Modern and minimalist interiors, garages or home offices with a design edge, coastal or Mediterranean-styled spaces, and collectors of automotive or retro design art.
• Craftsmanship: Every piece is individually reviewed by our studio before print, to preserve the sharp contrast between the deep red, flat architectural whites, and saturated sky.
